Artists’ Books

Artists’ books are made, not written. They are works of art in their own right. They exist at the intersection of some of my favorite media: printmaking, visual art, symbols and text. Things get juicy at the intersections.

Artists’ books are conceptual spaces that duplicate a function normally served by a physical exhibition space. They can also function as portable multiples. The texture of the paper and the shapes of the books themselves are important elements of the experience.

I create artist books in limited editions. Some morph into scarves. Zine versions of others will follow.
